Job Description

Leeds College of Building is unique. We are the only specialist further education college in the UK dedicated to construction and the built environment, with an enviable reputation both regionally and nationally.

Delivering a comprehensive range of courses related to construction and the built environment, our strong links with construction and engineering companies means we are at the heart of the sectors current and future needs.

The College operates over 3 campuses in Leeds City Centre, with excellent facilities and the campus at Hunslet is currently being expanded, which is due to complete in early 2019.
We excel in the delivery of apprenticeships and have built incredibly robust connections with leading regional, national and international organisations. Alongside this we have invested heavily in the College's higher education provision which has grown significantly over the past five years and continues to be a key strategic priority.

The Governors' and Executive at the College are committed to returning to an OFSTED Good grade at the earliest opportunity. We have brilliant students, excellent staff and sector-leading teaching and learning resources that gives the College the tools required to be successful. Through astute business and financial management, College finances are in line with the expectations set out in our financial plan, and we are rated by the EFSA as "Satisfactory" financial health.
We seek a senior curriculum leader to work with our Executive to energise, shape and enhance our drive for rapid improvement. As Vice Principal you will harness our significant staff and physical resources and deliver excellence to our students and stakeholders.
You will have a successful track record in education and skills, with a curriculum and quality background and be a forward thinking team player, working with the Governors, Executive and wider Senior Management team to develop and deliver ambitious plans for the College. The successful appointee will possess a clear understanding of the FE (and HE) landscape.
