Breedon is a leading construction materials group in the UK and Ireland. We operate two cement plants, around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete and mortar plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.
We are currently seeking a Contracts Manager for our Breedon Bow joint venture, based at Breedon on the Hill near Derby. You will assist the Framework Manager in the day to day running of the contracting business.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
- In conjunction with the supervisor, ensure that the placement of asphalt is completed within the prescribed timeframes and to a high level of satisfaction that is acceptable to Breedon Bow and our clients
- Leadership of surfacing crews alongside the foremen
- Ensure supervisors complete daily reports and daily job / task specific risk assessments in conjunction with the foremen when required
- Management of site inspection forms and task audits
- Demonstrate a high ability in delivering a high quality and safe surfacing environment
- Demonstrate support of Breedon Bow`s mission and high values & safety commitments
- Optimising financial performance through the coordination programming and administration of all contracting operations and obligations to meet or exceed contract requirements
- Effective management of business assets
You will be provided with a van to travel between sites, so a full driving licence is essential.
