There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Thames Gateway Division located in Dartford is looking to recruit a Management Accountant. The Role The role of the Management Accountant will report to the Divisional Finance Manager and Finance Director. The role involves assisting in the production of accurate and timely financial transactions and reports in addition to maintaining the business’s accounting records. The business currently uses COINS. The successful applicant will be ACCA or CIMA qualified with industry experience. Principle accountabilities of the role include: Produce management accounts Complete year end and half year end reporting packs Performing cost analysis Reconciling sales receipts Managing the sales ledger Posting sales invoices Production of weekly bank reconciliations Weekly cash movement reports Weekly cash forecast reports Raising divisional invoices Monthly reconciliations and journals for intercompany accounts, clearing accounts, recharges etc. Updating balance sheet accounts/reconciliations (other debtors/creditors, HTB debtors) Monthly statistical returns CIS returns cover. Job cost journals Assist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly journals and account analysis, financial year end and audit work. Provide cover for various duties within the department. Troubleshooting transactions and suggesting corrections. Completing various returns and requests for information, as required. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Experience of working with accountancy software. Working knowledge of COINS is desirable. Experience of working within a similar role will be preferred. Qualifications and Training ACCA/CIMA qualified with industry experience. Skills and Aptitude Good interpersonal skills. Excellent organisation and administration skills, including good attention to detail Ability to work on own as well as part of a team Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient IT skills along with a strong working knowledge of Excel, and the ability to adapt to new systems Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
