Asphalt Plant Supervisor (Ref: 9653)

Job Description

In order to support this, we have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Supervisor to effectively lead and coordinate all site operations at our Bristol plant. About the role You will effectively supervise and coordinate all site operations ensuring the safety of all staff members and customers while also ensuring we maintain production levels to satisfy customer demand. Please note that the role will involve an element of weekend working. Key responsibilities for the postholder include: Ensuring that Health & Safety across the site is a priority and that all Safety Management Systems in place fully comply with Group and Legislative standards Helping create added value solutions for our loyal customers Fostering high levels of engaged and motivated employees, providing support and guidance to the team Ensuring all incidents, near misses, Safety concerns, audits and action plans are closed out with corrective actions in a timely manner Ensuring asphalt sampling is completed to the correct standards and timescales to ensure product quality Assisting with and deliver regular tool box talks and safety briefings Completing to company standards, Risk Assessments and Method Statements with the ability to review employees and contractors completed ones for accuracy Helping ensure that the site unit as a minimum complies to ISO9001 & 14001 national third party accreditations Completing to company standards, Risk Assessments and Method Statements What will you bring? QCF Level 2 SHE Qualification or comparable Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relations with others Demonstrable experience in a similar role, preferably in a supervisory capacity Understanding of budgets and financial responsibility Highly organised with demonstrable planning and delivery capabilities Understanding of basic maintenance and PPM What’s on offer?
