Our Head Office located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit a Layout Development Manager to work within the Design Department. The Role The role of Layout Development Manager is to optimise development potential across the business whilst covering all aspects of scheme development: Density / Buildability / Saleability & Profitability. Principle accountabilities of the Layout Development Manager role include: Deliver divisional training to internal & external consultants to reinforce “Development Best Practice”. Manage and update as necessary our Development Best Practice guide. Undertake analysis & reporting of development schemes presented within Land Approval Packs. Liaise with external stakeholders such as Housebuilders, HBF & Government to ensure we are working collaboratively. Please note, our Head Office will be moving mid-summer 2020 to new offices at Woolsington, Newcastle upon Tyne (Newcastle Airport Business Park). Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Relevant experience of working in a private home builder or planning led design consultancy. Expert knowledge of the Planning Regulations and home building processes. Extensive relevant experience in a senior role. Qualifications and Training Degree Qualified in a planning or technical discipline (not pre-requisite). Working towards or already Chartered in a planning or technical discipline. Skills and Aptitude Strong listening and communication skills. Expert knowledge of Planning Regulations. Self-motivating, enthusiastic, flexible and driven to meet deadlines. Smart and presentable. Able to deliver training. Computer literate. Committed to research, learning and self development. Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions Current full driving licence required. Willingness and ability to travel to Divisional offices & housing developments.
