Job Description

About the role As Plant Manager reporting to our Area Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing our Stoke asphalt plant in accordance with company policies and deliver, as a minimum, our Health, Safety & Environmental objectives within a zero harm culture. Achieving budgeted EBITDA and controlling fixed costs, you’ll maintain and improve the business relationships with all stakeholders, with particular regard to neighbours and statutory bodies. Ensuring the business unit complies with ISO9001 & 14001 national third party accreditations will be a key accountability, along with compliance with our Asphalt Quality Plan. Other major deliverables include: operating the unit in full compliance with the IPPC permit, as authorised by the local authority delivering the highest standards of customer service administration and financial management. What will you bring? Educated at least to HND level in a relevant technical discipline, you must have a proven management track record in a construction-related environment, underpinned by strong business and report-writing skills and in-depth Health & Safety knowledge and experience. With plenty of self-motivation and initiative, you have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and strengths around organisation, planning and time management.
