Plant Manager

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an expert people leader to join us as a Plant Manager at our Neath Asphalt site. You will lead one of our key sites which plays a fundamental role in the delivery of Asphalt supplying highway projects, the housing sector and local authorities. About the role You will manage your allocated business units in line with company policies and deliver Company Health, Safety & Environmental Objectives, achieving budgeted EBITDA and control fixed costs. Other elements to the role include: Maintaining and improving the business relationships with all stakeholders involved with the business unit, with particular regard to neighbours and statutory bodies Ensuring the allocated business units as a minimum comply to ISO9001 & 14001 National Third Party Accreditations Complying with Aggregate Industries Asphalt Quality Plan Operating the Unit in full compliance of the IPPC Permit as written and authorised by the Local Authority Ensuring the allocated business units operate in accordance with the Express Experience commitments and deliver high standards of customer service What will you bring? Experience in managing large production units, construction, manufacturing or similar Stakeholder Management at senior level coupled with the ability to lead and manage teams Experience in managing budgets with the ability to put in place and maintain full and rigorous financial controls Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with others Proven track record in nurturing talent and developing future leaders within the organisation, especially within a rural community A wealth of knowledge in Health and Safety ideally with a corresponding qualification ​What’s on offer?
