Plant Operations Manager (Contracting)

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Plant Operations Manager, to influence and drive our ambitious growth plans, within Aggregate Industries. About the role We are looking for a driven and dynamic individual to join the leadership team and be responsible for leading and support with the national operations teams to manage the utilisation of internal plant to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency. You will provide overall guidance and direction on site, involving continually evaluating the utlisation of plant equipment, ensuring the health, safety & wellbeing of all employees is a priority. Manage the effective implementation and delivery of the standardised plant maintenance processes and systems in the Region, to ensure plant is maintained to required standards. Key responsibilities include; Reviewing levels and the condition of plant, to coordinate the transfer and disposal processes for the Region Working with the National Plant Manager to collate and represent sound business cases for the Nationals capital requirements Reviewing all of the current planned and reactive maintenance processes in operation throughout the business, such as defect reporting and servicing capturing and documenting best practice currently in operation Ensure compliance is met relating to the company’s O licence. Ensure all drivers are recording the correct traffic rules for their role Ensuring the costs are accurately allocated to the plant What will you bring? You will be able to demonstrate a full understanding and application of health & safety management principles You’ll also need to be literate and numerate whilst having an understanding of budgeting and financial responsibility. Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relations with others Self-motivated, with initiative and a proactive approach Experienced of working as part of a highly functioning team To hold an ‘O’ Licence (Desireable) Heavy mobile plant & equipment knowlage (Desireable) CPC road transport holder (Desireable) ​What’s on offer?
