Our Soutth Midlands Division located in Coventry is looking to recruit an Architectural Technician to join the Division’s Technical department. The Role The role of Architectural Technician reports to the Design Manager. Principle accountabilities of the role include: Preparation of construction packages, details and specifications. Working alongside external consultants and suppliers to complete a full tender package for the commercial, construction, sales and marketing team to work with Liaise with the NHBC Building Control department. Support the upkeep of the standard house type range, specifications and details as well as suggesting improvements for future packages and providing technical assistance to the team as required. Attend site-based meetings as and when required. Keep up to date with CDM and CPD responsibilities specific to the role. Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as have an understanding of future regulations that are coming into effect within the industry. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Experience of working as an Architectural Technician within the housebuilding sector. Ability to be able to express technical information in a clear and concise manner. Qualifications and Training Good working knowledge of AutoCAD architecture. Skills and Aptitude Effective communication and listening skills Excellent attention to detail Good administration skills Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrate a creative flair and innovative approach to development layouts. Proficient IT skills. Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
