We are leading civil engineering sub-contract company with annual revenues of over €20m. We currently employ over 100 office and site based staff. 
We are leading the way in various disciplines of civil engineering including bulk earthworks, pre-earthworks drainage, drainage, ducting, masonry and general ground works. 
We are privately-owned company with headquarters in Limerick.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 
Senior Quantity Surveyor required for Irish Based Sub-Contractor currently working on a major infrastructure project in the UK carrying out pre-earthworks drainage and drainage contracts: 
The roll is as follows but not limited to: 
Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment with correct supporting documentation to the main client 
Prepare and monitor the global program for pre-earthworks drainage and drainage
Attend weekly on site progress meetings with the main client 
Co-ordinate and attend commercial meetings with the main client 
Gather daily allocation sheets and ensure the correct information is being recorded and submit to the main client 
Review the Contracts, and ensuring compliance. 
Managing and forecasting the Cash flow for the project 
Record costings for the project in a diligent manner
Ensure compliance with Contract Programme/Schedule and provide weekly reports to construction team on planned versus actual progress 
Prepare and submit early warning notices and compensation event notifications to the main client
Take the lead on other aspects of the project in relation to Health/Safety/Quality 
Review all incoming correspondence from the client to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies  
To ensure Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same 
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Contracts Manager 
Actively seek out additional scope of works on the current project
Selection Criteria / Person Specification: 
Academically (Degree) qualified in either Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. 
Ideally 7+ years’ experience in either Quantity Surveying roles in a sub contract company previously 
Ability to use Primavera would be advantageous  
Ability to demonstrate building strong working relationships with the client 
Extremely High Level of competence in assessing Contract Documents and contract requirements. 
Ability and initiative to drive other aspects of running a project - like health/safety quality 
Experienced in Dispute Resolution and excellent negotiation skills. 
High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
Good oral & written communication skills
