We are working with a well-established manufacturer who has been working with sustainable methods for many years, with a strong product range. They have recognised they have a need to utilise new technologies and implement lean manufacturing methodologies, and seek a Production Supervisor who can manage the day to day operation, taking a lean approach.
As Production Supervisor you will be overseeing a team of approximately 9 shop floor staff, working across two sites (with a Team Leader in each location) allocating workloads to ensure an efficient and quality process and end product. You will have some staff management responsibilities, including:
- Motivating and supporting the team
- Managing attendance including sickness and holidays
- Carrying out appraisals and (when necessary) participating in disciplinary reviews and hearings
You will play a significant role in quality and continuous improvement and be a key liaison point with your colleagues in other departments including Customer Services, Despatch and HR.

In addition to the £28,000 salary, you can expect to enjoy 25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays, Life Insurance (up to 4x salary), statutory pension. Although there is limited overtime, any you do work will be paid back as time off in lieu.
