Technical Manager (Ref: 9566)

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager within our Concrete Products Division to provide technical support to Manufacturing, Commercial and Marketing departments. About the role You will ensure all products under your management, are produced and tested to their relevant product standards and fully comply with their requirements at the optimum cost. Other elements to the role include: To represent and protect the businesses interests on relevant trade associations and standards committees To control and monitor product test data to ensure we can demonstrate product compliance with all relevant product standards and relevant certification such as CE marks and ensure records are maintained To implement an ongoing product improvement and cost optimisation plan To assist in complaint resolution to keep costs to a minimum and implement an action plan to prevent future occurrences, where possible To maintain and improve product quality in all areas such as, product, packaging and delivery Identify key areas of opportunity by monitoring test results and involvement in product reviews To maintain TOTR and reporting systems to ensure product compliance can be monitored and controlled in the most efficient manner and are up to date To assist / manage New project work Liaise with major suppliers both internal and external to ensure we capture all opportunities to improve or reduce the cost of our product range Formulate a product improvement and cost saving plan for each site with dates, targets and actions Attend relevant Product viewings & sales meetings to establish sales concerns regarding our products quality and costs as well as new product development What will you bring?
