Job Description

The Role: Project Engineer

My client are looking to recruit a Junior Project Engineer to be responsible for providing application specific support to the Sales Team within the Automation and Materials Handling area of the business. You will be operating between sales and engineering, gathering / reviewing information about client specific requirements, developing concepts, designs, costings and producing detailed technical proposals/bids. You will also spend time working with suppliers & industry specialists, testing customer samples with state of the art equipment while investigating different alternatives.

Responsibilities

Production of detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Concept and layout design
Working with detailed technical drawings taking concepts through to final design stage
Work directly with suppliers and industry specialists testing customer samples and investigating different alternatives
Gather and review information for client specific requirements
Producing bills of material

The Right Person

The successful Project Engineer will have completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical but Electrical will be acceptable as well as the following:-

A good working knowledge of 2D /3D CAD, particularly SolidWorks
Strong communication skills and the desire and enthusiasm to learn about presenting, negotiating and selling a product
