Quantity Surveyor Clevedon, Bristol We’re looking for a QS to join us on a significant project within our Power business. It’s an unmistakable power generator in the Bristol region, with a really interesting scope of works. You will be tasked with the delivery of Commercial Management Services for the project. The role: Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required Valuations/Applications for Payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation Management of subcontract and material procurement schedules Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change Utilise the costing system Assist in cost control / cost mitigation Skills and experience: Experience within a construction/engineering or similar background; main contractor experience would be a distinct advantage Registered with RICS / ICES and working towards Chartership Commercially astute, with an inquisitive nature Working knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement, and NEC contracts Degree educated Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
