Programme & Venue Hire Coordinator

Job Description

Antony James Recruitment are currently recruiting for a unique multi award winning performing arts venue. Our client boasts a world-wide reputation for international cultural events attracting diverse and enriching audiences from all different backgrounds. 100,000 + visitors engage annually through 250 + events. Not only this, but our client our pioneers and are at the forefront of working for charitable causes and heritage.

The client is currently seeking a positive and self-motivated programme venue coordinator who is prepared to go the extra mile in a public facing team. Helping delivery high standards of administrative and operational support to the production team and large range of space users (from major promoters, and artists and many other space users)

This will be a 37.5 hour working week Monday-Friday, but some evening and weekend work may be required. A salary of between £36,000 - £28,000 is on offer depending on experience.

What does the role entail?

  • Creating & communicating key customer information to the venue manager, clients and margins team including dinner, tickets, and access
  • Working to ensure event listings are set up and ready for sale. Working alongside promoters to manage allocation and providing sales updates
  • Supporting and responding to all enquiries related to space hire (availability requests, pencil updates, room booking software)
  • Supporting customer communications preshow, ticketing and events mailbox queries for the venue, alongside the current customer service assistant and ticketing partner.
  • Working with the marketing manager to identify key events to promote, competitions, offer and internal programming promotions.
  • Further administration and operation support
  • Further internal programming support
  • Other day to day duties available on request

What do you need?

Essential:

  • Proven experience within a large team in an events or theatre environment
  • Proven knowledge of experience of using room booking and ticketing software programmes
  • Awareness of health and safety practice within a venue setting
  • Excellent standard of both written and spoken English with an ability to communicate effectively with w wide variety of people in a confident, professional, and friendly manner

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of yesplan and spektrix
  • Experience working with event's organisers and promoters
  • Experience within a community-led organisation
  • Minimum 2 year's experience within a similar role
  • Experience f managing entry-level staff or trainees

What is on offer?

For this permanent position of programme and venue hire coordinator a salary of between 26,000 & 28,000 per annum is available, a 37.5-hour working week Monday-Friday and some evening and weekend work.
