Job Description
We are looking to recruit an experienced building estimator / surveyor to join our team, based in Shrewsbury.
We work in Shropshire and the peripheral counties undertaking new build and refurbishment works for the Commercial Sector, Local Authority and the Health Care Sector both private and public.
This is a full time position within the company, the successful applicant will be energetic, self-motivated and be able to take full responsibility for preparation of tenders based on bill of quantities, schedule of works, plan and specification and have the ability and knowledge to give value engineering advice to clients and architects professionally through to preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
Knowledge of computerised estimating would be an advantage but not essential.
Turnover is £2 – 3m, projects range from £5k to £500k. Due to the size of our company you must be prepared to work closely with office and site staff to ensure the smooth running of each project.
In addition to holding the appropriate industry qualifications the applicant must have a full driving licence, CSCS card, and CRB plus Police checked.
£30 – 40k - Remuneration commensurate with position and ability.
