Our Head Office located in Woolsington, Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit a Group Head of Marketing to join the team. The Role The role of Group Head of Marketing is responsible for defining and implementing an effective and consistent marketing and brand strategy across the business, ensuring that all marketing performance is optimised to support growth and engaging customers and stakeholders. The Group Head of Marketing will also be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team, including three direct reports and a wider team of circa twenty employees. Principal accountabilities of the role include: Manage, lead and coach the marketing team in their roles and support their development both personally and as a team. Support and advise on the marketing needs for our 22 Divisions. Create, deliver, monitor and review marketing, digital and offline strategies to deliver clear outputs for all areas of the business. Lead and deliver accurate market analysis and insights to define and implement a marketing and branding strategy in line with the principles included within our Customer First initiative. Oversee all marketing campaigns and activities across the business, ensuring that the impact and return on investment is evaluated. Forecast and scale existing marketing channels, tools, infrastructure and other relevant marketing elements to achieve growth targets. Experiment new and creative ways of building our brand including but not limited to our website and social media channels that will provide value to the business. Create and implement a Bellway ethos which brings together a range of departments such as HR, ESG, land and sales Prepare and present regular updates, management information and reports to the Group Sales and Marketing Director. Liaise with photography and film production agencies to create new imagery and videos for corporate use as and when required. Ownership of the marketing budget ensuring that spend is optimised and enhanced to drive exceptional growth. Support the Head of Communications with crisis and issues management, including liaison with media and other stakeholders as and when required. Manage external corporate PR agencies and support Divisions with their PR requirements as and when required. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Experience of working as a Head of Marketing or Marketing Director with a proven track record of success. Experience of developing effective marketing campaigns across a wide range of marketing strategies, including, digital, social media and offline channels. Experience of leading and managing an effective marketing team. Experience of working within the construction or property sector is desirable. Qualifications and Training Degree in marketing or relevant qualification Professional chartered marketer (CIM) Skills and Aptitude Excellent digital, analytical, numerical, listening, written, and negotiating skills. Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to think strategically and deliver initiatives successfully. Strong understanding of data and analytics, with an ability to interpret information relating to sales and marketing performance Ability to challenge current practices effectively. Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously. Enthusiastic, positive, and motivated with a flexible approach to work Proficient use of IT systems.
