Job Description

Aggregate Industries a leading manufacturer and supplier of construction products are recruiting for an Operator to be based at our Chatham Docks site. About the role As an Operator you will be required to operate the Terminal, Plant and equipment and undertake basic plant maintenance duties as authorised by the Terminal Supervisor. Other elements of the role include: Operate and undertake basic maintenance of plant and equipment for the loading/ off-loading of ships, loading of vehicles, bag plants, blending plants and any other required equipment in line with established procedures and training Operate and undertake basic maintenance of mobile plant in line with established procedures, training and authorisation Carry out your duties in a safe and effective manner, ensuring that, by your actions, you do not endanger yourself or any other person who may be affected by your actions and that you comply with your Quality and Environmental responsibilities Support and assist the despatch function by issuing despatch documentation as required Support and assist the quality control function by taking and preparing samples in line with set procedures and training What will you bring? Excellent communication and team working skills Ensure Company policies, procedures and systems are complied with IT literate Weighbridge experience would be advantageous Loading Shovel experience is desirable What can we offer you?
