GCSE Maths Lecturer

Job Description

We are working with a fantastic college in the Surrey area who are looking for a temporary Maths Lecturer for an immediate start, for long term, temporary cover. Full-time hours available - 37 hours a week from 8:45am-5pm from Monday to Friday. This role will be ongoing until half term at least, and after that point will either continue or we will have a perm opportunity available for a minimum of 3 days. The hourly rate on offer is £23.00 per hour plus holiday pay. These are big classes and the learners can be challenging - so we need confident, experienced teachers. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to deliver inspiring teaching and excellence in planning, motivating and assessing learners, acting as Course/Subject Leader as required, contribute to the planning, development and review of activities, including course reviews, self-assessment and other college QI activity. You will also be promoting high levels of retention, achievement and attendance within the learner population Successful candidates must be highly motivated, possess exceptional organisational skills, work well with colleagues and have a creative and innovative approach to enthuse our students to succeed. qualification (or working towards this). Candidates will have an innovative approach to teaching and will ensure that lessons are designed to not only develop skills but that they connect to the industry which the students aspire to work in.

Role responsibilities
Teaching on a GCSE Maths programme.


The person & qualifications
FE experience
Classroom teaching experience (not just experience in tutoring one on ones)
A teaching qualification
A DBS on teh update service or applied for
A related qualification at level 3.
