My client are a specialist sub-contract engineering firm providing engineering resource to the power, aggregates and materials handling sectors. Due to continued growth and increased successful tenders my client require a permanent Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This role will cover the South East and various sites. The Role of Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Various heavy engineering sites covered
Travel between sites to fulfill Service Level Agreements
Maintain, repair and overhaul mechanical equipment
Pumps, turbines, valves, gearboxes, conveyors
Fault find and repair
Ensure maintenance logs are well kept and up to date
Response to reactive works
Health and Safety Procedures adhered to at all times
Monday - Friday 40 hours
Overtime outside of this
Out of hours calls will be part of this role

The Right Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Mechanical apprenticeship/ time served
C&G engineering qualifications
Experience of power industry or heavy engineering
ONC or HNC within engineering sector
Maintenance/ Service background
Exceptional knowledge of rotating equipment
Aggregate Industry knowledge
Recognised Health and Safety training.
Welding experience and qualification would be an advantage.
Hydraulic, pneumatic or fluid system experience.
Previous experience; Power generation sector 'prime movers and BOP.
Previous experience; Aggregate Concrete & Asphalt
