Highways Operative

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Highways Operative to join our team working on road surfacing projects across the Cambridgeshire area. About the role As we continue to win work and grow our production volumes we are looking to add another member to the team. The key objective of the role is to ensure the safe and efficient construction and maintenance of the road network within the agreed framework. You'll be undertaking manual outdoor work, supporting your colleagues, actively promoting our health, safety and welfare values while also ensuring we maintain leading quality standards. Other key responsibilities include: Carry out work in a safe manner in accordance with the company Integrated Management System with due regard for the public, customers and other site employees Undertake tasks in accordance with instructions given by foreman including the reporting of any health, safety or technical problems Ensure that plant and equipment is used in a correct manner and is maintained in line with company requirements Accurately complete daily record sheets and submit them at the end of each day on either on paper or tablet/electronic formats Maintain a clean and workmanlike appearance, keeping clothing and PPE is a good serviceable What will you bring?
