Course Leader - CSTEM

Job Description

Protocol is delighted to be working with an education provider in South Yorkshire in the recruitment to the position of Course Leader - C-STEM.
The post-holder will act as a course leader for the engineering delivery programmes and teach on a range of courses.
You will set up new courses and methods of curriculum delivery and contribute to the overall growth and development of the department.


Role responsibilities
Lead a course or courses and contribute to the review, planning and development of the curriculum.
Develop new courses, curricula and/or methods of delivery.
Develop new teaching materials and resources.
To be responsible for student retention, attendance, achievement and success rates for names courses/cohorts of students.
Plan and prepare schemes of work.
Formally teach on a range of courses through a variety of methods.
Verify and certificate work as appropriate.
Provide tutorial support.
Contribute to the enrolment and marketing process for new and future learners including interviews, assessments, school events and promotions.

The person & qualifications
A level 5 teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards).
A minimum level 4 qualification in Engineering.
Internal verifier qualifications (desirable).
Line management experience (desirable).
Knowledge of curriculum review, development and planning strategies as appropriate.
Ability to devise strategies to improve attendance, retention, achievement and success rates.
Knowledge of a range of teaching methodologies.
