Programme Manager: C-STEM

Job Description

Protocol is delighted to be working with an education provider in South Yorkshire in the recruitment to the position of Programme Manager - CSTEM.
The post-holder will provide line management direction, motivation and be responsible for building a dedicated and skilled team that will optimise learner enrolment, retention and success rates against targets and benchmarks.

Role responsibilities
To take responsibility for the management of specific programmes in Construction crafts and construction professional studies as Programme Manager including the line management of course teams and effective curriculum co-ordination including convening and holding regular team meetings.
To ensure the quality teaching, learning and assessment through the evaluation, mentoring and coaching of new and existing teachers.
Lead and motivate a team of staff to achieve high standards of performance.
Carry out mentored and graded lesson observations.
Ensure appropriate quality assurance checks are conducted within the programme area in line with the College audit policies and procedures.
Act as lead Internal Verifier within the programme area.
Teach on an agreed number of hours on a range of programmes as agreed with the Head of Deparment.

The person & qualifications
Subject specific degree of professional qualification at level 4.
Teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/QTS).
Management qualification (desirable).
Assessor & Verifier qualifications (desirable).
3 years' teaching experience in a relevant curriculum area, including course-cordination.
Curriculum management experience.
