The Role
As part of continued growth there is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their advanced machining division in Shepshed.
Responsibilities include:
Support the delivery of fixture, gauging design concepts & finished fixture designs to support fixture manufacture
Creating and implementing manufacturing process documentation and procedures in line with Company processes & procedures (ISO9001 driven QMS)
Employ continuous improvement methodologies to drive / deliver manufacturing improvements of core products
Provide the engineering department with tooling and fixture technical expertise in the manufacture of Turbine components
Provide technical liaison between engineering, production and internal / external fixture manufacture
Lead 5 axis capabilities into our component manufacture including programming of EDM Machines and 5 Axis grinding machines
New Product Introduction
Provide manufacturing engineering support

The Candidate
As the successful Manufacturing Engineer you should have industry recognised qualifications
Ability to read and understand complex drawings connected with aerospace component manufacture
Familiarity with 5 axis CNC grinding programming or EDM Programming
An understanding of grinding and EDM machining processes
An understanding of EDM processes and being able to program machine tools
Practical experience and understanding of aero and industrial gas turbine parts manufacture
Ability to understand and articulate 3D geometry using to support fixture design and manufacture
Ability to utilise NX and Inventor, Solidworks CAD systems
Experience with MRP/ERP systems
Capability to support quality functions, for example generating customer quality documentation
Experience with conventional machining tooling and fixtures
IT literate with all Microsoft packages
Self-motivated and enthusiastic
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Strong planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task and deal with a varied workload
