The Company and the Role: The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects. The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton. It is now urgently seeking applications for the position of Plumbing Supervisor The project which will start around mid – August until November 2019. There is a strong possibility that the role could be extended to March 2020. Key Features of the Role: Plan, supervise and perform all phases of installation on plumbing systems and conduct regular inspection and maintenance of equipment and tools. Inspect installations for quality, ensuring codes are met. As the Plumbing Supervisor use your experience to ensure your team of Plumbers follow and adhere to company, client and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Maintain a proper record of completed tasks and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives and prepare daily work permits, time tickets, documenting and approving work performed, materials used, costs, etc. Utilise your experience as a Plumbing Supervisor to review safety task assessment cards from personnel and provide pre safety task assignment. Provide safe work observations (SWO) and ensure that employees are fully trained in the required PPE for assigned tasks. Ensure compliance with Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) and generate and ensure compliance for Confined space entry, Excavations, Motorized heavy equipment, Energy Isolation, Hot works, On, near or over water. Follow hazard elimination program (HELP). Knowledge and Skills Required: Be an accomplished Plumbing Supervisor and hold relevant certification to undertake plumbing work. Proficient with hand and power tools as well as heavy equipment. Experienced in scheduling crews and managing daily customer deliverables and able to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on time. Able to demonstrative safety leadership and excellent team-building and motivational skills. Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company. Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel. What’s on Offer? £35,600 pro rata on a temporary worker basis. (Possibly more for an exceptional candidate) Overtime is a possibility. No Holidays are offered or expected to be taken during the 3-4-month period from mid -August to November unless fully authorised by the Senior Manager on site.
