East Renfrewshire council has invited bids for a £70m contract covering the design and construction of two new secondary schools.
One school will be built in East Renfrewshire and another in the Midlothian Council area.
Work is scheduled to begin on 16 May 2011 with completion scheduled for 30 June 2013.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 30 June.
A shortlist of three contractors is expected to be announced on 1 November.
