A truck driver has been arrested after causing the death of a construction worker when reversing into a building site in Cumbria.
Gary Mellor, 20, of Carlisle, suffered fatal chest injuries after he was hit by the truck which had been delivering scaffolding to the site.
The incident took place last Friday morning. Mellor was taken to Cumberland Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.
The 27-year-old truck driver, who has not been named, has been released on bail until early next month.
The Health & Safety Executive and local coroner have been notified.
