Britannia Construction wins £31m-worth of new contracts

11 Aug 10 Gloucestershire-based contractor Britannia Construction has won three new contracts worth a total of £31m.

Gloucestershire-based contractor Britannia Construction has won three new contracts worth a total of £31m.

The deals are:

  • In Risca, South Wales, an £14m contract for enabling works and construction of a 80,000 sq ft superstore shell, for developer Chelverton Deely Freed, plus separate fit-out contract.
  • In Portland, Dorset, an £6m deal for infrastructure, associated highway works, and construction of a 21,500 sq ft superstore shell, for the same developer, plus fit-out contract.
  • In Sandwell, West Midlands, an £11m award to design, construct and fit-out a 60,000 sq ft three-storey operational command unit for West Midlands Police Authority.

Britannia Construction, which employs around 90 people and has a turnover of around £45m, celebrated its its 50th anniversary this year.
