18 May 10 Construction equipment outfit Groundforce has acquired Kent-based Harbray Plant Hire for £900,000.

Construction equipment outfit Groundforce has acquired Kent-based Harbray Plant Hire for £900,000.

Harbray specialises in high pressure pipeline testing equipment, and will be incorporated into VP-owned Groundforce, which supplies pipe testing products to the construction, civil engineering and utility sectors.

The deal will widen Groundforce's portfolio of products and expertise, and its geographical presence.

David Williams, managing director of Groundforce said: “The acquisition not only augments our fleet but the depth of knowledge held in the business, enhances our ability to supply the full range of pipeline testing products to the entire customer base.”

Harbray will continue to trade under its existing name during the early integration period.
