FCC Elliott JV wins Olympic Broadcast Centre deal

30 Mar 10 FCC Elliott, a joint venture between Spanish infrastructure giant FCC Construcción and Irish contractor P. Elliott, has been awarded a fit-out contract for the London Olympics International Broadcast Centre.

FCC Elliott, a joint venture between Spanish infrastructure giant FCC Construcción and Irish contractor P. Elliott, has been awarded a fit-out contract for the London Olympics International Broadcast Centre.

The contract consists of the design, fit-out, maintenance and dismantling of internal architectural, electrical and mechanical facilities at the 55,000 sq m International Broadcast Centre in Stratford.

Carillion is the main contractor on the Broadcast Centre.

Baldomero Falcones, chairman and chief executive of FCC, said: “The 2012 International Broadcast Centre contract is further proof of FCC’s growing global footprint and symbolises our commitment to be a major player in the development of the infrastructure for London’s 2012 Olympic Games.

“This prestigious contract win sits alongside prominent FCC infrastructure projects around the world including: the Singapore Metro; the expansion of the Panama Canal; and the world’s longest railway tunnel, the St. Gotthard pass, linking Switzerland with Italy.”
