Galliford Try agrees £20m supplier agreement with Speedy Hire

13 May 10 Galliford Try has agreed an extension to its preferred supplier arrangement with construction equipment rental firm Speedy Hire.

Galliford Try has agreed an extension to its preferred supplier arrangement with construction equipment rental firm Speedy Hire.

The new agreement, which will run until 2015, will mean Speedy Hire is Galliford Try's first choice to supply tools, safety gear, lifting and survey equipment on a nationwide basis.

A bespoke hire desk has been created within Speedy Hire to provide Galliford Try with a single point of contact for ordering, administration, management information and payments.

This is Speedy Hire's longest standing preferred supply agreement, dating back to 1996 when it purchased the then internal fleet activity of Vine Plant.

With the extension in the service portfolio, Speedy Hire anticipates that the contract could have a value up to £20m over the term of the agreement.
