Galliford Try has won a £23m construction contract for the Chelmsford and Colchester Magistrates' Courts Project.
The design-and-build deal will see the contractor build two new courthouses in Chelmsford and Colchester. Client is HM Court Services Estates.
The new courthouse in Chelmsford, will include five magistrates' courtrooms and one Crown Court room. The new courthouse in Colchester will include five magistrates' courtrooms.
It is envisaged that construction of the new court houses will finish in Q4 2011.
Galliford Try was one of six bidders for the contract.
