Materials manufacturer Low & Bonar reports a continuing upturn in sales in the three months to 31 May.
Like-for-like sales in this quarter were ahead of last year in all segments, the company said. As a result the company has upgraded its forecasts for the full year, assuming exchange rates remain at current levels. Group results for the half year to 31 May 2010 are expected to be announced on 13 July.
Low & Bonar PLC is an international group manufacturing and supplying a wide range of products to the performance materials industry. It supplies geotextiles, yarns, fabrics and fibres to a broad range of end markets including civil engineering, building products, transport, sports & leisure, agriculture and other industrial applications.
The UK accounted for just 5.3 per cent of its sales last year, with 69 per cent of sales coming from the rest of western europe and 15 per cent from the USA.
