Related Information

ICFs are green building products which can help you achieve a sustainable build.

Sustainable building has 4 main characteristics:-
Minimise Energy Loss, Promoting a healthy indoor air environment, Material conservation and waste reduction and environmentally friendly site selection.
Logix ICFs have multiple benefits and this is how they can help you achieve your required Code rating.
Optimising energy performance in the home
The combination of the EPS insulation and the thermal mass of the insulated concrete provides a high performance thermal wall which also produces an airtight structure and reduces air leakage and energy use.
Airtight structures
ICF constructions make airflow and ventilation easier to control and monitor. The end result is a healthier and more comfortable environment for people to live in.
ICF walls are mould resistant
With the protected layer of EPS, a Logix wall system will not promote the growth of mould or mildew.
Solid and durable structures
Concrete is one of the most durable materials available and are designed to last for centuries. Logix walls are stronger than timber framed constructions and are designed to withstand the effects of strong winds.
Friendly Materials
EPS is rated A+ for Eco points. The webs are made out of 100% recycled polypropylene. 90% of the concrete used in a build comes from within 20km of the local area.
Reduced site wastage
Minimal waste as off cuts can be re-used elsewhere in the build and all Logix blocks can be fully recycled.
Logix ICFs are one of the easiest green building methods available within the UK today. Not only will you be doing your bit for the environment but you will also be creating a structure that is energy efficient, lasts longer and is quick to build, making it cost effective.
To discuss the benefits of using Logix ICFs, visit the team at Interbuild, from 26-30 October 2008, on stand number F135/G130 in Hall 5.
