Hyde Housing Association is looking for contractors to tackle its £140m planned preventative repairs and maintenance programme.

The association has put together a seven-year framework covering an integrated programme of repair and maintenance works, stock investment, and services, across 20,726 properties owned or managed by Hyde and London and the East of England.

The work covers to all Hyde's domestic properties, commercial buildings, and neighbourhood offices, and will include:

  • responsive repairs and maintenance;
  • planned maintenance;
  • voids;
  • aids and adaptations;
  • communal repairs;
  • boiler replacement;
  • lift maintenance;
  • door entry and access systems
  • CCTV systems;
  • stock conditions surveys;
  • decent homes works;
  • major refurbishment and renewal works;
  • insulation and energy efficiency programmes;
  • gas servicing and repairs;
  • co-developing and co-operating a repairs and maintenance call centre system with Hyde.

The Programme is divided into two lots, comprising firstly, Inner London, and secondly, Greater London including the East of England. Hyde intends to appoint a separate contractor for each lot and enter into a separate form of partnering contract with each contractor.

Related Information

The contracts for each lot will be let for an initial term of four years subject to performance, with Hyde having the option to extend for a further three years.

Lot 1 has an annual value of £6m-£8m, and a total estimated value of £42m-£56m for the full seven years.

Lot 2 has an annual value of £10m-£12m, and a total estimated value of £70m-£84m over the full term.

The deadline for receipt of requests for documents is 14 February, and the deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 2 March.
