22 Feb 10 Lovell and Leadbitter have won a £9.7m contract from Oxford City Council for two social housing developments.

Lovell and Leadbitter have won a £9.7m contract from Oxford City Council for two social housing developments.

The first, at Lambourn Road, involves new-build 38 properties on a clear site. The homes will be made up of three-storey flats, two- and three=storey houses and dormer bungalows. External works including parking.

The homes will be built from panelled timber frame with external masonry walls under a traditional roof. The site is required to meet a level four of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

The second development is Cardinal House, an existing sheltered housing block of 33 one-bedroom flats. These are to be altered, refurbished and extended, providing 20 additional units.

The block will use masonry walls and traditional roofing, and must also meet level four of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
