Mace Plus has won a £20m contract to construct the first phase of a bioscience research park in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
The contracting arm of Mace Group has been awarded the deal on a two-stage design and build basis.
Client for the project, which is 50% publicly-funded, is Glaxo Smith Kline's research and development division.
The construction programme will run for 18 months.
Mace Plus won the contract in competition with four rival bidders.
