Mansell has been awarded a £9m contract to construct sheltered housing for the elderly in Quinton, Birmingham, by charity the Lench’s Trust.
The Balfour Beatty subsidiary will build 63 homes for the elderly, both for rent and shared ownership, and surrounding communal areas.
The Lench’s Trust is dedicated to providing care and housing for older people in Birmingham. Eventually the new retirement village will provide 97 apartments accommodating some 120 residents.
Work is scheduled for completion in April 2010.
