Morrison Construction has been awarded two streams of Yorkshire Water's AMP5 framework worth approximately £150m over five years.

Galliford Try subsidiary will work in a joint venture with consultant AECOM Design Build.

The two streams comprise treatment works, involving capital projects on sewerage and water treatment plants, which is expected to be worth up to £100m and other installation projects, covering pumping station facilities, expected to be worth around £50 million.

Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: “We are delighted to extend our long-standing relationship with Yorkshire Water as one of its joint venture partners delivering improvements to the water infrastructure for its customers.

“This appointment is another significant step in the renewal of our framework agreements with our key water clients and reinforces our position as one of the sector's leading contractors.”
