19 Jobs Lost At Roger Bullivant (Ireland)

14 Oct 08 Roger Bullivant (Ireland) in County Antrim has gone into administration with the loss of 19 jobs.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has been appointed as the administrators for Roger Bullivant (Ireland) in Lisburn.

The company provides piling and foundation services to domestic and commercial construction projects.

Garth Calow of PWC said the company had experienced financial difficulties which had affected the level of trading in the main piling business.

"The company has not begun any new work in recent weeks and I regrettably had to make 19 redundancies on my appointment," he said.

"Work continues only on a small number of existing contracts."

"A wholly-owned subsidiary company, Stratex Limited, continues to trade as normal, providing engineering and geotechnical expertise to a variety of clients in the construction sector."

Simon Bullivant, director of Roger Bullivant Ireland, said: "Up until last week, we had been working hard to restructure the business in the best interests of all parties.

"Despite our best efforts, it has unfortunately not been possible to do that in the way we had hoped and, as a result, we regret to confirm that we have therefore been forced to put Roger Bullivant Ireland Ltd into administration.

"We are continuing to work hard to maintain the Roger Bullivant services in Ireland and minimise the net loss of jobs throughout this difficult period."
