6 Oct 10 Rotary has acquired Birmingham M&E outfit CA Sothers.

Rotary has acquired Birmingham M&E outfit CA Sothers.

Chester-based Rotary, which also specialises in M&E installation and maintenance, turned over £200m in the UK last year. It is part of the Australian-owned Hastie Group

The company trades from offices in Yorkshire, the North-west, the North-east and London, as well as Scotland and Northern Ireland.

CA Sothers has been family-owned since its establishment in 1919 and works with in the leisure, commercial, retail, healthcare and education sectors.

Managing director Robert Hinton is the third generation of his family to run the business, and will remain with Sothers following the acquisition along with the rest of the current management team.

Rob Kirkham, business development director at Rotary, said: “Sothers will bring valuable local and technical knowledge as we continue to expand our business across the UK, and work towards our vision to be the provider of choice for building services to the most advanced industry standards.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us to work with a business that has the experience of more than 90 years in the industry, and one that will enable us to grow into new regions.”
