Building on its strong track record in the rail sector, leading access and scaffolding supplier, SGB has pooled its existing expertise to operate as one specialist team, tailored to meet the specific requirements of the industry. Led by director Rob Owen, the new team is staffed by a dedicated team of designers, engineers, business development and operations personnel all of whom are fully qualified and experienced in the rail sector.

SGB Rail Services represents an access industry counterpart to the specialist rail divisions now emerging from the UK’s leading building and civil engineering contractors.

“With rail being one sector that is forecast to remain buoyant for the foreseeable future, we have decided to establish our position as the first-choice supplier of access solutions for rail contractors”, commented Mr Owen.

“In order to support these contractors we believe it makes perfect sense to offer our customers a team of specialists who can focus on the sector in a dedicated way. It’s about being recognised by the main contractors’ specialist divisions as their opposite number in the supply chain”, added Mr Owen.
