Skanska has been awarded a £15m contract to improve a 3.4km stretch of the A406 North Circular Road by Transport for London.
The works, between the A109 Bounds Green Road and east of the A105 Green Lanes, comprise carriageway widening and realignment to allow dualling of the road and construction of a central reserve, plus installation of reinforced concrete retaining walls.
Skanska will also demolish two existing footbridges and build a new one.
Associated works include drainage, footway construction, supply and erection of street lighting traffic signs, and the introduction of new signalised traffic junctions and landscaping.
The construction programme is expected to run for 24 months.
