Wates has set up a new office in Liverpool after winning several contracts in the city.
The contractor will employ 15 staff at its new base.
Wates built the £31m North Liverpool Academy and is currently constructing the £19.5m Mount Pleasant Campus for Liverpool John Moores University, and the £13m central teaching laboratory for the University of Liverpool.
John Shannon, Wates business unit director in the North West, said: “The office provides us with a real base to support our growing client base in Liverpool and demonstrates our long-term commitment to the city at a time when it really matters.
“We know the importance of continually striving to elevate our performance in order to exceed the expectations of our customers, regardless of the economic climate. Wates has a strong balance sheet, a solid reputation, and we are here for the long term.”
