A-one+, which is a joint venture between CH2MHill, Colas and Costain, has given Route One a place on its ‘collaboration hub’.

Route One says that it saw off completion from six other contractors to provide bridges and structures maintenance and renewal works across the managing agent contractor (MAC) contracts of A-one+.

This means that Route One will maintain bridges and structures on motorways and trunk roads in the East Midlands (Area 7), Yorkshire (Area 12) and the North East (Area 14). Works involve bridge expansion joints, waterproofing and other associated structures maintenance for up to two years.  The contract is valued at £1m to £2m per year although this could double over the contract period.

Route One director Matthew Pert said: “This further cements Route One’s position as the most progressive bridges and structures contactor in the UK. We are looking to support A-one+ moving forward in future bids for asset support contracts.”
