The £3.3m order comprises 10 different model types ranging from 10kVA up to 300kVA.
It is one of the largest single orders that A-Plant has ever placed with SDMO and the first time that A-Plant has purchased the larger generating sets above 60kVA from SDMO.
Included in the order is SDMO’s new Diesel 10000 E Silence generator, a compact 10kVA generator on wheels. A-Plant is the first UK hire company to take the Diesel 10000 E into its fleet and took delivery of the first ever models to be produced at SDMO’s factory in Brest, France.
Powered by a Kohler air-cooled industrial engine, the Diesel 10000 E has a soundproof enclosure and acoustic pressure levels of 81dB(A) at one metre and 69dB(A) at seven metres. It iss also fully bunded, ensuring that any fuel or oil spills are retained within the canopy.
A-Plant marketing director Asif Latief said: “This year we have purchased a much larger spread of generators from SDMO than ever before, right up to 300kVA, which reflects our confidence in their quality, reliability, innovation and environmental benefits.”
