The offer extends to 2,500 machines, including 19ft, 26ft and 32ft battery powered scissor lifts as well as 5ft, 7ft and 8ft push-around vertical lifts (PAVs).

AFI’s guarantee follows a similar move by Hewden, which earlier this year introduced guaranteed next day delivery for items from its core fleet, with a £100 cashback payment to the customer if it is late.

AFI is offering to supply scissors and PAVs from its 24h Essentials Range within 24 hours (working days) of an official order being placed by customers. The scheme is restricted to deliveries within a 30 mile radius of one of its 20 UK depots.

AFI’s 24-hour initiative follows its 48-hour scheme where the company will accept orders to deliver core machine ranges to customers within 48 hours of an order being placed. The 48-hour scheme covers a wider range of core machines, including selected boom and mast lifts, scissor lifts and PAVs.

AFI director Steve Williams said: “We have been getting an increasing number of enquiries from customers wanting short notice deliveries so we have come up with this industry-leading initiative to meet the demand.

“This initiative will help our customers to keep projects on schedule, particularly when unforeseen circumstances arise. We are able to offer this scheme due to our success in maximising fleet efficiency and our ongoing improvements in the areas of engineering and logistics.”
