AFI puts service docs online

1 Nov 13 Powered access specialist AFI is making the service history of used machines it offers for sale available to view on line.

AFI believes its initiative is a UK first for full transparency in the sale of used equipment.

Potential purchasers can view documents recording a machine’s service history and statutory LOLER inspections online.

AFI director Nick Selley said: “This development is about giving our customers complete peace of mind because when they look on our website at a machine they are interested in buying they can now see the service history, LOLERs and pre-delivery inspection sheets specific to that machine.

“These documents will show purchasers how rigorously the machines have been maintained over the course of their working life and the stringent checks that have been carried out. We have initially made the documents available on our special offer machines, and depending on interest and feedback we will then consider rolling out the initiative,” he added.

Earlier this year AFI Resale sold its 2,000th powered access machine since being formed six years ago.
