The order consists of six LTM 1060 3.1s and six LTM 1100 5.2 five axle cranes, with a combined value of over £6m.
Liebherr said that the requirement for cranes of this size reflects the continued growth and confidence in the UK market, particularly with the smaller cranes, where business continues to be brisk as the economy recovers.
The 3-axle 60t machine is an upgrade for the LTM 1055s that exist within the Ainscough fleet, with the larger LTM 1100 5.2 being used to enhance Ainscough’s portfolio of 5-axle cranes.
Richard Everist, managing director of Liebherr Great Britain and Ireland said: “Orders such as this show the strength of the market for new cranes and how companies are prepared to invest in their future with confidence. Liebherr are at the forefront of this investment cycle, not only in the smaller categories but also in heavy lift cranes which still continues to be buoyant.”
