Ardent was formed last year through the amalgamation of One Call Hire and Fork Rent under new ownership. One Call Hire was a long-standing customer of Kubota and the new company is continuing that relationship.

The first 20 Kubota U17-3α excavators arrived in February and were the first machines in the company’s fleet to carry the all-new Ardent branding.

“One of the four pillars of Ardent is reliability,” said Ardent group commercial director Tom Gleeson. “We are keen to work with suppliers who have proven themselves in the field, and Kubota have never let us down, either with their equipment or their customer service.

“Kubota is a trusted supplier of dependable, reliable excavators and Ardent is pleased to continue with this relationship as we invest £100m to create the UK’s youngest and best specified hire fleet.”

Kubota UK managing director Dave Roberts said: "We have a long standing relationship with One Call Hire and, with the merger with Fork Rent, to see this develop into a new company is very exciting. Ardent Hire Solutions has big ambitions to provide industry-leading equipment and the supply of our mini-excavators is a great step towards that goal.”
